Participation from over 450+ dealer workshops across India
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, is celebrating ‘National Road Safety Week’ in association with SIAM-SAFE and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), across the country. The theme for National Road Safety Week 2017 is – Road Safety Walk, which is aimed at pedestrian safety. Mahindra is participating in this initiative to drive awareness about the importance of road safety.
With increasing incidents of road rage, accidents and unsafe driving practices, it is imperative to educate people on road safety. In fact road safety is expected to improve dramatically when every component of the system including the vehicle, road infrastructure, traffic engineering, driver training and road etiquette, enforcement, education and awareness, as well as the laws that govern the road system, have safety embedded into them as an inherent virtue.
Under the aegis of the National Road Safety Week, the company has undertaken various activities such as, a road safety awareness campaign for dealer staff, a driver education program through dealer workshops, creating awareness among school children through a drawing competition. In addition, the company is also creating awareness drives through tie ups with local RTOs and rallies by school children.
